Step in the Snow

Today's card for The Cutting Cafe Design Team is suppose to be a step card.  I have never made a step card before, so it was fun to try something new.  I used the single step template and cut it with my Silhouette.  I decided to use some images from other sets so that everything I used is available on The Cutting Cafe shop.  I used Winter White Flower Soft for the snowman and the snow and White Opal Liquid Pearls for the hat.  The rest was colored with Copic and Sharpie markers with designer paper for the backgrounds.  There are different step cards that come with this file.  Try doing each one and see what fun you can have, coming up with ideas to embellish them.

Be sure to check out the shop to see some of the wonderful projects that Regina
has come up with.  She really does an amazing job!

By the way, I have my new Zentangle site up and running, now.  Please check it out:
I would love for you to become a follower and don't forget to leave me a comment!
Thanks.

Birthday Sea Horse

Hi everyone.  This week, I am getting away from holiday cards and I am going to showcase Imagine That Digi Stamps Progressive Challenge digital stamp.  This month we are doing the free digital stamp set called Birthday Sea Horse.  I think it is a she horse so I made her into a girlie card.  I also used the Birthday Bubbles n' Things papers which can be found on the web site.  I wanted to make her bright and colorful and added some embossing glitter around the image die cut.  I hope you like her.  It is a fun set to make for a child's birthday, girl or boy.

Be sure to go to the challenge blog and learn how you can get this set
(and a new one every month for free)!

Next week, I will be going back to my holiday cards.  Enjoy!

Christmas Box

Today, I am showcasing my creation for The Cutting Cafe design team.  We were to use the Pizza Box file.  I suppose you are able to size it any way that you want, if you have a cutting machine.  I decided to use it exactly as it showed up on my Silhouette mat.  I used a heavy designer card stock and added a whole bunch of elements that tied in with the "sweets" theme.  I didn't know that I had so much stuff that I could use!  They were packed away in photo boxes and I only open them at Christmas time.   I made the bow and used glue dots to hold it together.  I have a lot of Christmas themed buttons and I thought the wrapped candy button was the perfect topper for the bow.  I hope you enjoy my fun project.  Don't forget to leave a comment for me.  I LOVE hearing from you!

Blue Angel

Hi everyone.  Today, I am showcasing my latest card for Imagine That Digi Stamps design team.  I chose the angel from the Christmas Angel set.   I decided to color her in blue.  Isn't that the color that angels wear?   I had some nice blue christmas designer paper and decided to use that for the background, but I also found some parchment paper that had clouds printed on it so I used brads to attach it to the background.   I thought it gave her a more "Heavenly" look.  I also used a lot of Sakura Clear Star gel pen to really give her wings an ethereal look.  Unfortunately, it doesn't really show up very well on the pic, but trust me, it shines nicely in person.  I hope you enjoy my card.
Next week, we will be doing a new Progressive Challenge for the month of November.
If you have been playing along, you will receive the file, free of charge.
If you haven't played before, you can still join in the fun.  Just play along with this month's challenge and you will automatically get the next month's digi for free!
