Pretty Tulips & Happy Father's Day (Two for One)

Hi all.  Today, I am posting my latest cards for the Imagine That Digi Stamps design team.  Keeping with the Summer theme, I decided that the Watering Can Tulips would be just the thing.  I painted the image with Inktense and Prismacolor watercolor pencils and some Gelatos on watercolor paper.  Most everything else was card stock that was embossed or punched.

My next card is for Father's day.  Although I don't have anyone to send this card to, I decided to make it for another occasion.  For some reason, I couldn't get the colors to be accurate.  You will see a bit of a color difference between the outside and the inside of the card.  Actually, the true color is more of a pumpkin shade and it really looks better in person.  This image is called  Humphrey's Row Boat. I have done a bunch of Humphrey over the last couple of years so I really wanted to do this one in watercolor.

More Summer Yummies

Hi all.  Today, I have a new Summer card to show you from Imagine That Digi Stamps.  Since we were going with an ice cream theme for our Digi of the Month challenge, I decided to use another set of ice cream images.  The set is called Ice Cream Treats and I used the Build a Cone images from that set.  I decided to start my ice cream delight by using the sugar cone image and make it a double decker.  I chose my 2 favorite flavors, chocolate and mint chocolate chip.  As you can probably tell, I used the outlined images and colored them myself with Copic markers.  I went for the topsy turvy look and added a cherry on top. The sentiment is from the Ice Cream sentiments that go with this set.  I used a Spellbinders die cut and used a background paper from the Ice Cream Parlour digi papers.  After I made this, I had to go to the kitchen and actually eat some ice cream!

I hope you will decide to build your own cone!

Until next time...

Imaging That Digis by Kris, June Freebie Challenge

Hi all.  Today, the Design Team is showcasing our new challenge with our Ice Cream Parlour digi set.  If you have played for the month of May, you will be eligible to download the free set.  If you haven't been playing, that's ok because you can go to the above site and purchase it at a discount and as a bonus, you will get the digi sentiments that coordinate, for free!  After you purchase the set, you will be sent the link to download the July digi for free.  This will go on continuously as long as you play each month.  Did I mention that the set is on sale right now?

For my card, I used the outlines of the ice cream parlour and painted it with water color Inktense Pencils and watercolor paints.  I wanted to make it colorful and bright.  After I painted the whole thing, I splattered a little blue onto the picture.  I cut the image out with a Spellbinds die.  I then die cut another piece of the same size and cut it in half so it would make the whole think pop, I also popped the image with foam for a little dimension.  I found the perfect designer papers in my stash and I really like the way it turned out.  This card would be great for a birthday card or just a card to cheer someone up.

I hope you enjoy my card and that you will try to participate in the challenge!

Till next time...
